  1. Wow, Terri, I'm so impressed! First of all, what a great video presentation you've made and posted. The pronounciation of names, titles and authors is awesome; I wouldn't know where to begin on some of those Japanese authors. Secondly, you have an incredilbe pile of books! I can personally vouch for Coin Locker Babies and Tales of Moonlight and Rain. But, I want to join you in reading Black Rain, Snow Country and I Am A Cat. What fun!

  2. Looks great, Terri. When I view it, there is a sync issue. Your words are coming out at the same time as your lips are moving. I don't know if it is just me or not.

That's quite a list. Let me know what you think about those ghost stories!

  3. Bellezza: I can't wait for the Japanese Literature Challenge -- could you tell?!

Mary-LUE: I could see/hear the sync problem but don't know what caused it. If you or Paul have any clue I'd be interested so I can avoid this next time. I don't know if it was caused by a setting somewhere or what. The video and audio record at the same time so you'd think this wouldn't be an issue. I was just glad to have relative success this time.

  4. How cool is that! I enjoyed your vlog post, Terri. Like Dolce Bellezza, I was quite impressed with your pronunciation of the Japanese authors' names. I'm a butcher when it comes to most names--even seemingly easy ones.

It was neat hearing my blog mentioned. Thank you. I am looking forward to reading The Dark Horse.

I hope you enjoy Ghostwriter. I really liked that one. I'm looking forward to someday reading Seance.

I hope you have a great weekend, Terri!

  5. Nice job!! And it looks like ou have some great stuff to read. I looked at "I Am A Cat", but after reading the end (which I do with animal books because I'm scared to read them) I decided I wouldn't be able to deal with it. I hope you like it, because it looks really good. Aside from my trouble with the end. :-)

  6. LOVED the vlog! I wish I were brave enough to do one :P You have some great reading lined up for both the Japanese Lit Challenge and RIP. Black Rain is definitely not a happy read, but it's a memorable one. And you have the same edition of We Have Always Lived in the Castle as I do. The cover is indeed awesome. Just a reminder, though: don't read the intro first! It's full of spoilers.

Also, you made me want to read The Seance! Gothic and Victorian definitely sound good to me too. I so hope you enjoy Alaska! Oh, and don't worry, I'm not sure how my blog nickname is pronounced either :P

  7. Love the vids, Terri! And the books in the background make a nice touch.

I do have I Am A Cat in my TBR. :D

  8. Literary Feline: I do have a confession ... I'm not sure if I pronounced most of those names correctly or not! Glad to hear you liked Ghost Writer. I can't wait to read both of the Harwood books.

Lezlie: Oh my. I'll brace myself for the ending of I Am a Cat!

Nymeth: Thank you for the reminder about the intro in Shirley Jackson. Don't need spoilers!

Alice: Thanks! I thought the book towers would be a nice visual. I glad to hear others have I Am a Cat yet to read. How fun!
