Friday Fill-In

1. Plans and schedules are really not my style; I'm a little more free form by nature.

2. I'm happy when things are tidy at home.

3. The last thing I drank was hot herb tea.

4. One of the most valuable things in my life is my relationship with my husband.

5. I like sliced tomatoes and canadian bacon on my pizza.

6. Dear November, please let me have time to read a whole bunch of books!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sushi with my husband and SIL, tomorrow my plans include a spot of housecleaning and a trip to the library to pick up a book on hold and Sunday, I want to read some of my JLC3 challenge books!

1. Missing a deadline is not the end of the world.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I am clearly dreaming since it rarely rains in Southern California.

3. Cheese tastes so good!

4. Sometimes, putting others first is hard to do but I'm always glad when I do.

5. Sunrise on the beach is breathtaking, really.

6. Well, maybe there is a Santa Claus.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dinner with my husband and watching Eureka on TV, tomorrow my plans include hanging around the house waiting for a furniture delivery and Sunday, I want to read my brains out!

1. Steak and salad and a glass of wine make a quick and easy dinner. (OK, so I added an item!)

2. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is the book I'm reading right now.

3. July brings back memories of my wedding 28 years ago!

4. The skin melting heat was obvious.

5. They say if you tell your dreams ... well, I don't know what "they" say, but mine are pretty vivid.

6. I have a big purchase to make and need time to think it over.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sushi dinner and a movie, tomorrow my plans include celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary with my husband and Sunday, I want to take a long walk on the trail near my house!

Friday Fill-In

1. Apparently there's some sort of cold virus going around where I work.

2. Today is not a sunny day where I live; but that is OK since the last few days have been over 100 degrees. (It's April! What's up with over 100 degrees???)

3. 2009 has been eventful for me so far.

4. Curmudgeon was the word I was looking for earlier; that was it. (What's with the words just evading me lately when I'm looking for them?)

5. For too long I've been putting some things off that I just need to get done.

6. I am not obsessed with being right; I am not!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sushi dinner and TV with my husband, tomorrow my plans include breakfast out with my husband and an evening at the car races with family and Sunday, I want to come home from church and READ all afternoon!

This week Janet took the first sentence in 6 of her favorite books and gave us the option to either complete the quotes or fill them in with our own words. I've chosen to fill them in with my own.

1. In a hole in the ground there lived Digger. (Yes, we watch NASCAR at our house.)

2. I've got too many books but that ain't no matter.

3. After dark the rain began to fall again, and the sound put me gently to sleep.

4. Gold from the hold of the Spanish galleon.

5. There was a hand in the darkness, and I wondered if there was a body to go with it.

6. Accidents ambush the unsuspecting, so I will be vigilant.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to recovering from my horrid 4.5 hour commute home tonight, tomorrow my plans include a massage and Sunday, I want to attempt my first Sunday Salon post!

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Why do we have to sleep? (I could read more if I didn't need sleep.)

2. Taking a daily walk and drinking plenty of water are now habits.

3. I have a wry sense of humor.

4. I had never heard the phrase "putting on the dog" and it made me run to the nearest book of quotations to satisfy my curiosity.

5. Don't stay up too late on Sunday night the way I always do.

6. How was I to know I wouldn't mind getting older.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching the series finale of Battlestar Galactica, tomorrow my plans include having a leisurely breakfast out with my husband and Sunday, I want to go to church and then come home and READ!
