R.I.P. III Challenge

I'm finally getting around to joining the current R.I.P. Challenge. Being a bit overcommited right now in just about every area of my life, I considered skipping this challenge; but since Carl provides those like me with a "one book" option, called Peril the Third, I decided to join in the fun. So, between now and October 31, I'll be joining others in their spooky reading pursuits by reading a book from one of the following subgenres of scariness:

Mystery
Suspense
Thriller
Dark Fantasy
Gothic
Horror
Supernatural

My Peril the Third will be a book that includes the supernatural. I'll be reading Tamsin by Peter S. Beagle.
