Friday Fill-In

1. Apparently there's some sort of cold virus going around where I work.

2. Today is not a sunny day where I live; but that is OK since the last few days have been over 100 degrees. (It's April! What's up with over 100 degrees???)

3. 2009 has been eventful for me so far.

4. Curmudgeon was the word I was looking for earlier; that was it. (What's with the words just evading me lately when I'm looking for them?)

5. For too long I've been putting some things off that I just need to get done.

6. I am not obsessed with being right; I am not!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sushi dinner and TV with my husband, tomorrow my plans include breakfast out with my husband and an evening at the car races with family and Sunday, I want to come home from church and READ all afternoon!

  1. Enjoy your weekend, Terri! Sushi sounds really yummy--we had it for dinner last night. :)

  2. What WAS the deal with #2 this week? (And of course, that was when we found out that our air conditioner wasn't working.) It's much nicer now.

Will you be visiting the Festival of Books at UCLA this weekend?

  3. Trish: A fellow sushi lover! I am sooo looking forward to dinner tonight.

Florinda: Isn't that the way it is though? Just when you need the air conditioning, it stops working. That happened to us last year. So glad it cooled down! I won't be able to attend Festival of the Books since I'm still recovering from my recent health issue; I don't think I'd last long. I was really looking forward to it though. Maybe next year will see another chance to meet up with book bloggers at this event. Thank you for checking with me!

  4. Sunday afternoon sounds like a dream! That is what I want to do too...lose myself in a good book!!!

  5. 100 in April! You can have that nonsense. I don't like 100 in August!

Curmudgeon is such a fun word, I'm glad you found it.

    Have an excellent weekend!

  6. Hope your weekend is going well...and hope the cold going around the office isn't swine flu!!! :)

My parents are going to the races this weekend as well. Hope you all had fun.

  7. Carl V.: Sunday was lovely as I was able to sit outside and read for hours! I ended up having to sit out the races Saturday night; I overdid it earlier in the day and just didn't have the energy. That's OK ... there will be other races.

cj: The temperatures have dropped nicely and we've had several days of 70 degress. Lovely. Wish it could be like that always!
